Harjinder is an experienced social researcher and international consultant in child and women's rights and gender equality, and has produced numerous (research) reports. She has worked in senior research, programme and project management, and policy posts for national and international governments and NGOs, and her field experience includes Africa and Asia. Previously, she worked as a UK government gender advisor on EU and international issues with GEO and DFID leading on CEDAW and CSW as well as VAWG, MDGs and UNSCR 1325. She holds an MA in Political Science, an MSc in Policy Analysis and Evaluation, a PhD in gender and masculinity, and is currently undertaking an Executive MBA at Henley Business School.
She is also the founder and director www.menandboysforgenderequality.org. The aim is to raise awareness of the need to engage men and boys in promoting gender equality and ending violence against women and girls.
