I am an independent researcher and consultant with broad experience in gender and development. My specialisms include gender and social movements/activism, workplace inclusion and gender mainstreaming, migration policy and practice, engaging men and boys for gender equality and feminist economics/financing gender equality.
For five years I worked for BRIDGE at the Institute of Development Studies, producing and promoting accessible information on a broad range of gender and development related issues. Prior to this, I was policy manager at the UK Equality and Human Rights Commission, where I focused on the UK’s implementation of CEDAW, as well as gender equality and discrimination in the workplace.
I have a PhD in Women’s studies from the University of Manchester, and a MA in Gender, Culture and Society from the University of Essex.
