Hayley was lead author of ‘Pressing for progress: women’s rights and gender equality in 2018’, the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s biggest ever review into women’s rights in Britain. She provides gender equality policy advice across various EHRC programmes, and regularly represents the organisation at the UN, both to influence their reviews into UK compliance with international human rights law, and to ensure that emerging global standards are understood and reflected in domestic policy-making. Prior to working for the Commission, Hayley held a number of roles in the third sector, including managing the human rights programme at the United Nations Association – UK and acting as Coordinator of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Women, Peace and Security.
