Sonia Bala Rastogi

Brief biography

Sonia is a humanitarian and human rights practitioner with 8 years of experience in gender-based violence, GBV mainstreaming, sexual/reproductive rights, HIV and trauma-informed care. Her technical skills include rapid assessments, policy analysis and advocacy, M&E and program implementation in conflict settings and with marginalized communities in the U.S. Sonia has worked in South Sudan, Jordan and Malawi. Prior to the humanitarian sector, Sonia advocated for policies to improve the health and rights of women living with HIV in the U.S. She holds a Master in Public Health from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health.
