What does it mean to be an intersectional feminist? – A conversation with Marai Larasi

  • Christian Aid Offices 35-41 Lower Marsh London, England, SE1 7RL United Kingdom (map)

There is a strong sense of commitment among GADN members to the idea of intersectionality but also a realisation that it’s not always known what intersectionality means in practice – or sometimes in theory. We are delighted to offer you a chance to hear from Marai Larasi, Executive Director of Imkaan. This UK-based organisation is dedicated to addressing violence against Black and minoritised women and girls.  The event is a chance to hear Marai’s perspective and will provide an opportunity for GADN members to reflect on their own work and organisations, and how intersectionality affects power and privilege in the gender and development sector itself.

If you would like to reserve a space, please RSVP to comms@gadnetwork.org by Friday 19th April – spaces are limited.

Please kindly indicate if you have any accessibility requirements for the above meetings.
