Elanor Jackson
Brief Biography:
Elanor has 28 years experience of working in international development with expertise on children’s rights, women's rights and gender equality programmes, including on violence against women and girls, women's political participation, discriminatory social norms, media and development, child protection and child safeguarding, as well as MEL and research. Working as a Consultant over 10 years, she has supported organisations to improve learning and the quality of their work. She has experience of living and working in India, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Ethiopia and has worked in several countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. In 2018, she undertook an evaluation of a VAWG programme for Womankind in Tanzania, co-wrote a paper on supporting women’s and feminist movements for Comic Relief and worked as a Gender Advisor for the British Council and BBC Media Action, amongst other things.
