Response to the recommendations from the G7's Gender Equality Advisory Council
June 2021
Response: The Gender Equality Advisory Council (GEAC) - the group selected by the UK government to lead its gender equality work at the G7 - today published its recommendations for G7 leaders. Along with other UK charities, the Gender and Development Network (GADN) and Gender Action for Peace and Security (GAPS) - co-chairs of this year’s Women 7 (W7) - warn that the UK is likely to lose its global leadership role on gender equality if it fails to include the GEAC’s recommendations as part of the final G7 agreement.
