Renee Olende
Brief Biography:
Ms. Renee Olende is a passionate programme strategist with over 15 years of experience and a track record of delivering strategic, integrated campaigns at multiple levels. She helps individuals, organisations and businesses connect with their stakeholders to drive strategy for influential impact and sustainable change; guiding effective corporate communication programmes and the development of the most robust tools and products.
In the past, Renee has worked in projects across Africa and around the world to protect the rights of women and girls, safeguard the environment, and in R&D ensuring access to treatment for neglected tropical diseases. She has worked for and in collaboration with private sector, donor agencies and development partners, government ministries, civil society organisations, International/ African based NGO’s and Not-for- Profit organisations.
To date, Renee has supported the delivery of beneficial social impact projects at Greenpeace Heading environmental Campaigns, the Drugs for Neglected Disease Initiative (DNDi) as Regional Communications Manager for DNDi Africa, facilitating the development and management of DNDi’s communication strategy and activities in Africa. Furthermore, Renee also headed the public relations and communications department of the Federation of Kenya Employers. Prior to which, she held several communications and advocacy related positions for the UNDP as well as in various non-governmental organizations.
Renee holds a mass communications degree from the Biola University (USA) and an MSc. in Public Policy and Management from SOAS University in London.
