Rosie Walters

Brief Biography:

Dr Rosie Walters is a Senior Lecturer in International Relations at Cardiff University. Her research analyses girls' everyday forms of resistance to gender inequalities. She has published a book and multiple journal articles arguing that we need to look beyond engagement in formal politics to understand how girls ‘do’ politics in everyday life and suggesting recommendations for how adults can better support girls to make the changes they would like to see. She also writes about corporate gender washing, especially in relation to sponsorship of girls’ education programming by corporations accused of gendered human rights abuses elsewhere in their operations.
