Thomas Churchyard

Brief Biography:

Thomas Churchyard (MPhil, Cantab.) is a consultant and trainer as well as the Founder of Kwakha Indvodza, a southern African CSO specialising in gender, health and social justice interventions which engage men and boys.

As a consultant, Thomas has conducted male engagement and GBV prevention programmes and research across Africa and Europe. He enjoys challenges at the cross-section of gender, health and human rights issues. He serves on several international boards, committees and technical working groups.

Thomas holds a MPhil in Critical and Cultural Theory from the University of Cambridge. He lives in Mbabane, Eswatini with his wife and daughters.

Areas of Expertise:

The research and programmes which explore the role of men and boys as allies for gender equality and social justice, including violence prevention, unpaid care work and health programming.
