Communication on COVID-19 with the Secretary of State for International Development

In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Gender and Development Network alongside its sister networks and a select number of CEOs from our member organisations wrote to the Secretary of State for International Development. Collectively, we wished to highlight the need for a strong gender analysis to be at the heart of DFID's Coronavirus response, as well as to encourage increased support to local women's rights organisations who were acting as frontline responders. Below is our joint letter as well as the Secretary of State’s response.
