  • Learn from each others' work - and that of external agencies and initiatives - to increase the quality and impact of existing programme and policy work amongst both working group and wider GADN members.

  • Pool experience and expertise in order to contribute to GADN, UK government and other stakeholder initiatives, including targeted policy advice and advocacy in relation to women’s participation and leadership.

  • Explore opportunities to work on cross-agency working group projects and to use these to influence sectoral thinking, practice and resourcing.

  • Collaborate on emerging GADN initiatives with colleagues in the wider network as required and where value is added by the group’s combined expertise.

The Group works through two sub-groups - on policy/advocacy and on programming.

Resources on women’s political participation and leadership are available from GADN members and others.
