Dr. Rabia Zaid

Brief Biography:

Dr. Rabia Zaid holds a Ph.D. in Gender and Development from SOAS, London and a Masters degree in Liberal Arts from The University of Chicago. Dr. Zaid has 8 years of teaching experience and over 6 years of research and consultancy experience. Dr. Zaid has worked on projects funded by UN Women, GIZ, and OSUN Network. Dr. Zaid works in partnership with several institutions across South Asia. Research interests are Neoliberalism, Governmentality, Financial Inclusion, Microfiance loans, and Cash transfer programs in the Global South.

Research interest and expertise in Financial Inclusion; Microfinance Loans and Women's empowerment; Development and Gender in the Global South, IMF Loans, SAP, Neoliberal Governmentality, Debt, and Grassroots Movements.
